We take the promises made at a child's baptism seriously and are committed to providing opportunities for our youngest church members to experience and share God's love.

Children's faith is raw, simple, and authentic. And we strive to preserve and nurture their faith by sharing God's love through a variety of small group encounters that incorporate music, art, stories, and play time. Our experienced and compassionate nursery workers, Sunday school teachers, and children's ministry coordinator ensure activities are age-appropriate and all children are actively engaged. So whether your little ones are playing in the nursery, singing songs in Sunday school, or putting on a play during Vacation Bible School, we're confident that they will enjoy beginning their relationship with God.

The elementary years are a critical time in your child's spiritual development. Our 252 Basics curriculum is specifically designed to help grow your young one's relationship with God through a variety of multisensory story time, music, and worship activities. Our goal is to ensure that your child understands three basic truths: I need to make wise choices, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

June 4-8, 2017

Open to Pre-K - 5th graders

Children need opportunities to celebrate their love for God with one another in creative, joyful, and meaningful ways. And we can't think of a better outlet for this expression than Vacation Bible School, a week-long experience full of Bible stories, arts and crafts, games, snacks, singing, small groups, and large assembly time.

At FUMC Natchitoches, we are committed to the physical safety and spiritual growth of all who come under our care, more specifically children, youth, and vulnerable adults. To ensure a safe environment, we have a risk management policy in place that requires yearly trainings and careful screening of our staff and volunteers through interviews and background checks. As a result, our staff and volunteers do everything in their power to prevent, recognize, and report any misconduct.
