Colby was born and raised in Natchitoches. He graduated from NCHS where he was the starting center on the football team and played bass in the orchestra. He went to NSU on an orchestra scholarship, fished on the bass fishing team, and was in Sigma Nu Fraternity. He left NSU to pursue welding at NWLTC and will graduate in one year. His plans changed again when he was presented with the opportunity to be the Youth Director at the beginning of 2017. He loves to hunt, fish, build things, and be outdoors. His real passion is duck hunting. “There’s no place I've found to capture Gods marvelous creation of the world like in a duck blind with a few good buddies.” He has a huge family and church family that he is very close to.

He loves serving this church because it has been his home for as long as he can remember. He grew up in the children's and youth programs here at FUMC and it has shaped and molded him into who he is. It has given him so much that he is so thankful for so he wants to give back to todays generation of youth and teach them what was once taught to him. He loves to serve the youth of this church because they need a positive influence in the tough and tempting world we live in. He is trying to show them that this Church can provide shelter and love when things get rough.
