Pastor Doug grew up and went to college in Alabama, but we don't hold it against him unless it's football season. Besides, he came to his senses as quick as could by attending seminary in Louisiana and spending the past 35 years serving churches throughout our great state. And we know his transformation is complete as his Sunday morning jokes now star Boudreaux instead of Bubba.
He is married to the beautiful Tamara and they have two grown children who reside in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles. Even though their children have left the nest, their four dogs rule the roost and have Pastor Doug well trained in spoiling them. If you don't find Pastor Doug at the church, you'll most likely find him planting things in the yard for his dogs to dig up or attempting to master reverse while boating on Cane River Lake.
Even if you can't make it to church on Sundays, you can't get away from Pastor Doug. His "Perceptions" radio spots can be heard Monday - Friday at 7:25 am or 7:40 am on 92.3 KNOC, 94.9 KSBH, 97.5 KDBH, and 100.7 KZBL; and he also writes a weekly column that appears in the Natchitoches Times and the Natchitoches Parish Journal.
