Stephanie Ellett is our administrative assistant. She was born the second of four children. She grew up in Haughton and Doyline Louisiana where she was a member of Doyline United Methodist Church and Love Chapel United Methodist Church. Stephanie graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Music Education. While in college she met her husband, Darin Ellett. Following graduation Stephanie moved to Natchitoches. Darin followed and they were married in 2001. They have been blessed with 2 girls, Meredith and Melody.

Stephanie has been a part of the Natchitoches community for nearly 20 years. She has been a member of Les Amies Service organization and served on the board of the Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches. It has been thrilling learning about all the resources and amazing history in this area.

Stephanie is very active in the Girl Scout movement and has been her whole life. She was a Scout, worked at summer camp for 17 years, worked for the local council, and is now a troop leader for Meredith's Cadette troop and Melody’s Daisy troop. Locally she serves as the Service Unit Manager, the parish contact for troop leaders, new members, and activities. Within the 42 parish Girl Scouts Louisiana Pines to the Gulf Council, she serves as a volunteer partner on the CEO advisory panel and Camp Planning Committee.

Stephanie loves working at FUMC because of you. The church family at FUMC is diverse yet connected, but most of all they are just great people. She has a heart for serving others and loves the challenge of taking care of whatever walks through the door each day. On any given day you might find her solving internet issues, ordering coffee, on the phone, brainstorming events, scheduling building use, printing, trimming, folding ,stuffing, mailing, or anything else that comes up. Stephanie manages our assistance fund that our members donate to each communion. Through that she sees people from many walks of life who are in need of help and offers what ever help or contacts we have that could benefit this person’s long term outlook as well as their short term challenges. Interactions with a variety of people make life interesting every day.
