You can find our church services at 10:45am on Sunday mornings on our homepage.

All activities are postponed.

Please join us in prayer for those who are fighting COVID-19 - the ill, doctors, nurses, and the front line.

We understand that you can't always make it to church on Sunday mornings. But that doesn't mean you can't worship and stay connected with us - watch our 10:45am contemporary worship service.

Want to catch up on Sunday worship services you've missed? Or need an extra dose of inspiration to get through the week? Then browse our service archive and experience the joy of worship at your convenience.

Sundays 8:30am, 9:30am, & 10:45am

8:30am - Some of us are called to worship with both feet rooted in the traditions of the church. Held in the Sanctuary, we join in celebrating God's presence with the classics: hymns, creeds, and pipe organs. If you love singing hymns, this is your service.

9:30am - The Blend - This worship service blends Traditional and Contemporary worship styles together to create a relaxed atmosphere.

10:45am - Some of us are called together to worship in a contemporary style. We use our creative talents (lots of them!) to center our focus on Jesus. If you love the "new stuff," this is your service.

We have a kid-friendly and handicap-accessible worship space, and we also provide childcare in room 102.

Contemporary Service in Crossroads Worship Center

Our worship program is broad and exciting. We train our ushers, visual, audio, and spoken word personnel to welcome worshippers as Jesus would. We work with our volunteers to desing roles that fit their passions and availability, and we'd love to work with you. Here are just a few ways you can get involved in worship:

Chancel Choir - The Chancel Choir sings at the 8:30am traditional service. They practice at 5:45pm on Wednesdays in the Choir Room in the Education Building. For more information contact Nicholaus Cummins at Choir@fumcnla.org.

Contemporary Band & Booth Workers - It takes a ton of people to run the contemporary service from those who play in the band to those who run the sound and graphics. There is something for everyone to help with! For more information contact Brandi Chasteen at brandi@fumcnla.org.

Ushers, Greeters, and So Much More - If you are interested in being an usher, greeter, communion server, or anything else during worship please contact the church office at Office@fumcnla.org or 318-357-8296.

Are you new here? If the answer is yes, then you're probably debating whether or not you want to try us out on a Sunday morning.

But you're most likely worried about the awkwardness that comes with visiting a church for the first time - where to go, where to sit, who to speak with, and where to take your kids. So let's take the awkwardness out of the equation by arranging to meet face-to-face at the church the first Sunday you decide to visit. We'll meet you at the door, show you around, introduce you to folks, help you find a place to sit, and share all the exciting opportunities to worship, grow, and serve with us. We're also happy to meet you during the week if you'd like to get to know us better before attending a Sunday worship service.

To get started, simply e-mail our director of congregational care, Carla Bond, with the date and time you'd like to visit. She'll take care of the rest!

Considering her favorite food is an old-fashioned, home-made hamburger, it's no wonder Carla fits in so well here. We don't even need to mention the fact that she grew up in Mansfield , graduated from NSU, and is a retired teacher and assistant principal - the love of hamburger is what sold us on her.
She is married to Kevin Shannahan and they have a grown daughter and two precious grandchildren. When not at church, you can find Carla enjoying time with friends and family.
Her favorite part about being on church staff is getting to meet new people, which she does a lot of through her involvement in Stephen Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Group, Crafters with Purpose, and Eucharistic Ministry.
