God is Always with Us

Many Christians look forward to Sunday to be with God, but God is looking for Christians to be with him in their lives every day. In 1 Thessalonians we are told to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” God has given each of us our daily life to live, so how can we live our life daily with Him?

The Disciple group has a suggestion to make your daily life more connected to God. Pick a day and when you get up that morning set the timer on your phone for a period of time, like an hour. Each time it rings, pause whatever you are in the midst of and offer up a short prayer. Then reset the timer and continue on like this for the rest of the day. We believe that you will find that God is with you and is helping you to cope on that day with whatever occurs. If you find that to be the case you may want to try this suggestion again sometime.
